Origin: Miyazato, Gushikara Village, Shimajiri County, Okinawa Prefecture
Birthdate: November 3, 1888
​Immigrated to Hawaii: January 1906, age 18
Since his arrival in Hawaii in January 1906, he has been known as an avid believer at the church for a good 30 years. He offered dedicated assistance during the visits of grand priests Kami-i, Itsushima and Sakai with their service.

Currently he is active in spreading Jodo teachings as an executive at Meishokai.

In January 1932 he became a special follower of the Jodo Sect.
For the Hakalau Kuleana, our responsibility is to care for the land, the people, and the culture. We are guided by cultural values of YESTERDAY: Engage in collective effort. Look out for each other. Honor hard work. Show respect for those who came before us. Aloha and Mālama `Aina.
