Since his arrival in Hawaii in 1907, he has been a very dedicated and avid member of the church. When the grand priests Kami-i, Itsushima and Sakai from Japan representing Bishop made their visits he offered unwavering dedication and every time assisted them when they performed religious services.
Currently he is busy with his executive position in Meishoukai. In June 1929 he became a special follower of Jodo Sect.
He has been one of the assisting members of Japanese Language School. He has also been the trusted chief of sugar cane cutting department at Kamaee Mauka Camp for years.
