Safety Rules and Restrictions for Karate Classes
During the COVID-19 Pandemic

  • Register with your instructor to reserve your spot in class: Patricia Taniguchi: jkoseto@gmail.com
  • COVID-19 Waivers must be signed and submitted by the parent or guardian before attending class. This waiver is available here and can be submitted online. Additional paper copies will be available from the instructor if needed.
  • All classes will be limited to 10 children per class.
  • No drop-ins. No tourists from out-of-state. Hawaii residents who have traveled outside Hawaii must have completed a 14-day quarantine before participating in class.
  • IF FEELING SICK OR IF ANYONE IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD IS SICK, STAY HOME!!
  • Masks are required before entry and upon exit of the Social Hall, but DO NOT NEED TO BE WORN DURING CLASS in the Social Hall.
  • Hands and feet must be sanitized before entering the Social Hall.
  • There will be no congregating before/after class.
  • The instructor does not touch the children, the children do not touch one another.
  • Practice zones have been taped on the floor. Please stay within your zone during exercise. Please maintain social distancing of 6 feet while on the premises of the Hakalau Jodo Mission.
  • Parents/guardians/caretakers must wait outside of the Social Hall, maintaining social distancing and wearing masks.
  • The Social Hall is cleaned before and after class.
  • Donation of wipes or hand sanitizer would be greatly appreciated.
